The second season of the Netflix series Ultraman The anime premiered earlier this month, with a third and final season confirmed for release next year.

This news comes from a brief teaser trailer for the third season. In it, a voice can be heard urging an injured Ultraman to stand up before it is revealed that the series’ next season will be its last, with a world premiere in 2023.

Several years have passed since the events Ultraman, and the legendary ‘Giant of Light’ has become a memory as it is believed to have returned home after battling many giant aliens that have invaded Earth,» the official synopsis reads. «Shin Hayata’s son, Shinjiro seems to have a strange ability, and it’s this ability, along with his father’s revelation that he was an Ultraman, that motivates Shinjiro to fight the new aliens invading Earth as the new Ultraman.»

First season Ultraman consists of 13 episodes and is available to stream on Netflix. The second season of the series debuted on the streamer on April 14, 2022 and consists of only six episodes, all of which are already available to watch. A feature film is also filmed on the streamer.
