Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake it seems to have had a lot of problems throughout its development. And after many delays, Ubisoft has shifted development responsibility from its studios in Pune and Mumbai to where the sands of Time trilogy originated: Ubisoft Montréal.

Ubisoft announced this on Twitter. Prince of Persia Twitter account. Calling it a «major step,» Montreal will build on what the two Indian studios have developed and take the necessary steps to «regroup on the scale of the game» to make it as user-friendly as possible. Ubisoft didn’t say when it might come out and said it would release «when it’s ready». The development team also stated that they would notify players of the remake’s progress in a «future update» but did not provide a timeframe.

This remake has had problems since it was announced in September 2020, with players unhappy with its outdated visuals that were far behind 2020 standards. This was told by the game director Pierre Sylvain-Gires. mako reactor that the title looked like this because the developer wanted to give it a «unique visual treatment» and not due to technical limitations. Since the poorly received debut trailer, there has yet to be footage or images from the game, so it remains unclear what it looks like now.
After being pushed out of January 2021 to March 2021, the game was then postponed indefinitely before set sometime in 2022. It’s unclear if even this will continue, as changing developers could be a pretty big move.

Ubisoft Montreal knows Prince of Persia pretty good since he did the sands of Time trilogy – the sands of Time, Warrior insideand Two thrones – as well as reloading cel-shaded 2008 and 2010s Forgotten Sandswhich was the last traditional entry in the series.
