20th Century Studios and Hulu to reboot League of Extraordinary Gentlemenbased on the critically acclaimed comic book series by writer Alan Moore and artist Kevin O’Neill.

Written by Justin Haight (red sparrow), this new reboot could be the first adaptation of the comic book series since 2003. League of Extraordinary Gentlemen the film in which Sean Connery starred in his last role before retiring. Although there have been several reboot attempts previously, none have been successful.
The reboot is planned as a feature for Hulu, the sources said. Hollywood Reporter that Haight and the rest of the film crew would be looking for a core comic book series for their upcoming iteration. That’s welcome news for fans, considering how the 2003 film deviated from its source material.

Don Murphy, who produced the 2003 film adaptation, will also produce this new version. While the original film was largely panned, the comic book series itself, which revolves around a team of famous literary heroes and their adventures, won both the Bram Stoker Award and the Eisner Award for Best Limited Series.
