People written and directed by Karam is based on his acclaimed 2016 one-act Broadway play that won the Tony Award for Best Play. The film adaptation stars Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins (water shape), Steven Yun (Minari) and June Squibb (Nebraska) along with Golden Globe nominees Amy Schumer (train wreck) and Bini Feldstein (Book store). It will also star Jane Hoodishell, who will reprise her Tony Award-winning role as Deidra Blake.
