spy x family continues to fascinate with its fourth episode, which revolves around getting Anya into the prestigious Eden Academy. After careful preparation, the Forger family travels to the Eden campus, where they are bombarded with bizarre tests and intense interviews that test their commitment to Loyd’s mission.
In «Prestigious School Interview» the tempo spy x family continues to impress, as it was never boring. The walk itself from the entrance to the interview is filled with trials and tribulations as the Forger family tries to blend in with the rest without drawing attention to themselves.

The forgers, who have a seemingly endless suitcase of clothes every time their outfits are ruined, made me laugh, especially at the elegance-obsessed tutor Henry Henderson. Watching Henry react to Loyd’s increasingly goofy levels of training is a lot of fun, especially when the local animals go on a rampage.
This series of challenges allowed each character to gracefully showcase their skills and traits. Yoga paralyzing an angry bull with a technique she learned in «yoga» made me giggle, and Anya’s kind attitude towards the downed beast created a cute moment that continues to make her the highlight of the series to this day.
There’s a great balance of comedic gags and serious character-building moments here, as it’s made abundantly clear that Loyd especially grows up to take great care of his «fake» family. As Anya relentlessly defies Housemaster Swan, Loyd and Yor’s defensive instincts begin to kick in, creating some heartbreaking moments (as touching as menacing officials with spy talents can be). I look forward to seeing how close this family gets, as this episode made it clear that they all want to stay together even if the mission fails.

The tough interview has plenty of little jokes sprinkled throughout to ease the tension without feeling out of place. Anya, constantly mispronouncing names and reading minds to find optimal answers, makes some good points, and the response of the caregivers takes first place. Even the more serious moments with the endlessly evil caregiver Lebed are well-written at the moment, so his cruelty seems to be a natural outgrowth of his character.
The cliffhanger ending as to whether Anya would be allowed into Eden is an interesting choice, although it would be shocking if she didn’t, given Eden’s importance to Loyd’s mission and the overall plot of the series. However, I’d be lying if I said I’m not looking forward to next week’s episode to see how the Forger family handles the Eden Academy decision. It’s getting harder and harder not to read the manga ahead, just out of sheer excitement.
Like coming sun policy review explains, a score of 9 corresponds to «Excellent». Entertainment that reaches this level is at the top of its class. The gold standard that every creator aspires to.
