RLJE Films has announced that it has acquired the rights to the horror film in North America. Reef: Hauntedand will release on July 29, 2022 on Shudder and digital video-on-demand services and in theaters.

Reef: Haunted stars Teressa Lian, Ann Truong, Saskia Archer, Kate Lister and Tim Ross, written and directed by Andrew Trauki (Black water), as a sequel to his 2010 film Reef. The film is produced by Neil Kingston, Michael Robertson, Jack Christian and Trauki.
«AT Reef: HauntedNick, in an attempt to heal after witnessing the horrific murder of his sister, travels to a tropical resort with her friends to go kayaking and diving,» reads the film’s official synopsis. “Just a few hours into the expedition, the women are stalked and then attacked by a great white shark. In order to survive, they will need to come together and Nick will have to overcome his PTSD, face his fears and kill the monster.»
