AeroVironment’s Puma™ VNS is a visual-based navigation system for PumaAE small unmanned plane programs (SUAS). PumaVNS allows GPS-denied navigation throughout GPS-contested environments. The system performs Visible Inertial Odometry (VIO) by a collection of built-in sensors and an onboard compute module to find out the exact location of the plane throughout flight.
Designed to adapt to a repeatedly altering battlefield, PumaVNS will allow more and more superior navigation capabilities, options and performance by future software program and {hardware} updates.
