Peacock has officially confirmed his first three original films with Universal Pictures to debut on the streamer in 2023. This includes the LeBron James biographical sports comedy-drama titled Falling starsmusical drama starring Chloe Bailey Praise itand film directed by John Woo Murderer.
«We know people are joining Peacock to watch movies, so we’re constantly adding more to serve the fans,» Kelly Campbell, President of Peacock and Direct-to-Consumer and International, NBCUniversal, said in a statement. “Together with Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, we are thrilled to bring fresh, exclusive, original films to our customers next year in addition to Universal Pictures’ legendary blockbusters and beloved franchises currently streaming.”

Each film is part of a previously announced collaboration with Universal Pictures to produce a number of films made exclusively for Peacock. The following are the first details of the first original Peacock films:
- Falling stars is the first film under NBCUniversal’s production contract with LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill. Produced by Oscar nominees Rachel Winter and Terence Winter and SpringHill. The origin story of the NBA superstar as a high school basketball player is currently in production.
- Praise it – Film produced by Girls Trip producer Will Packer. Starring Chloe Bailey as a new member of the local church choir, «who pushes her members into a trendy musical direction and whose involvement with an irreverent hip-hop star could launch — or jeopardize — her own musical career.»
- Murderer – Famed action writer John Vee returns as director with a film he will rethink and direct.
