Paramount Network has officially announced that production of the highly anticipated fifth season of the series yellowstone finally started in Montana. Filming began more than four months after the hit family drama wrapped up its fourth season of 10 episodes, which averaged 11 million viewers.
yellowstone Season 5 will be the biggest and longest run of the series under Kevin Costner as it will consist of 14 episodes which will be split into two 7-episode parts.

«The series follows the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest adjacent cattle ranch in the United States,» reads the synopsis. «Against a backdrop of shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds and hard-earned respect, the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding city, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.»
