IFC Films released a new trailer for the upcoming American premiere of the acclaimed Spanish comedy film Official competitionstarring Oscar winner Penélope Cruz and Oscar nominee Antonio Banderas. It is slated to hit theaters on June 17 and be released on video-on-demand on August 2.
The video shows the critically acclaimed filmmaker as she receives an invitation to make a film from a wealthy old man who wants it to be his legacy. It highlights the director’s unusual and over the top methods to create chemistry between her two leading stars.
