A week after director Justin Lin’s unexpected departure from Quick XUniversal Pictures found a replacement.
Per Diversity, instead of Lean, a newcomer to the series will appear: Louis Leterrier. However, Leterrier is far from new to the action genre, having directed the 2008 film. The incredible Hulkand the first two films Conveyor series starring Jason Statham. Leterrier was said to have been Universal’s first choice as a replacement and «won numerous candidates». Recently, the director has been working on The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and Lupine for Netflix. A new production schedule for the film is currently being developed.

Quick X It will be based on a script written by Chris Morgan. While the official cast has yet to be announced, franchise actors Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Natalie Emmanuel, and Song Kang are expected to reprise their roles.
The tenth installment will also feature franchise newcomers Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Daniela Melchior (Suicide Squad) and Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), and Momoa had to portray the antagonist.

Based on characters created by Gary Scott Thompson, the latest installment saw the family travel the world from London to Tokyo, from Central America to Edinburgh, and from a secret bunker in Azerbaijan to the busy streets of Tbilisi. Along the way, old friends will be resurrected, old enemies will return, history will be rewritten, and the true meaning of family will be tested like never before.
The franchise began in 2001 with the release Fast and Furious, followed by a string of sequels, spin-offs, video games, and merchandise. The film franchise currently has a combined worldwide gross of over $6 billion.
