In accordance with TermMichael Sarnoski has been officially appointed to write and direct the upcoming New Regency film adaptation. Sabrina, based on the graphic novel of the same name by Nick Drnaso. The story centers around the aftermath of the murder of a young woman and its impact on the victim’s loved ones, which has led to conspiracy theories surrounding the case.

Nick Drnaso Sabrina was first published in 2018 by Drawn & Quarterly. Since its release, it has been acclaimed by The New York Times and became the first graphic novel to be nominated for the Booker Prize.
«When Sabrina disappears, a US Air Force pilot finds herself embroiled in a web of speculation, wild theories, and outright lies,» reads the book’s synopsis. “Every night he comes to work in a bare, sterile fortress that offers no defense against a situation that threatens the sanity of Teddy, his childhood friend and boyfriend of the missing woman. Sabrina’s grieving sister, Sandra, struggles to fill her days while waiting in purgatory. After the footage floats to the surface, we see the devastation through a cinematic lens as the true tragedy is distorted as fringe thinkers and conspiracy theorists begin to interpret events according to their own narratives.

Sabrina The adaptation comes from New Regency and RT Features, with RT Features’ Rodrigo Teixeira credited as producer. New Regency is also funding the film.
