The report notes that the main cast of the original series, including Ed O’Neal, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate and David Faustino, were signed on to reprise their roles in voice-over form. Alex Carter (Writer and Executive Producer) Family man) has been appointed showrunner for the series, which will be shared with potential buyers in the near future in the notes to the report.
This is not the first attempt to revive the series: in 2014, Sony also tried to create a spin-off centered on Bud Bundy (Faustino), although the series did not move forward. The new move comes as The Hollywood Reporter reports that Sony continues to look for new ways to bring shows back from its existing IP library.

Original Married… With children was created by Michael G. Moyet and Ron Leavitt and aired from 1987 to 1997 on Fox. Considered by many to be the first «raunchy» sitcom to air on a regular television network, the show focuses on the Bundy family, a group that has no problem swearing or joking with each other. Despite the derision of critics, Married… With children became one of the longest-running sitcoms in television history with 11 seasons and 259 episodes.
