Karl Urban Teases Potential Villainous Turn for Billy Butcher on The Boys

The debut trailer for the upcoming third season of Amazon Studios. boys teased Karl Urban’s character Billy Butcher gaining superpowers. In a recent interview with Entertainment WeeklyUrban said the dilemma now is what the Butcher does with them.

«Here’s the dilemma: Will Butcher become a superhero or a supervillain?» Urban said. “In order to defeat a monster, do you become a monster? And I think one of the cool things about this season is that every character is faced with that choice. How far are they willing to go? What line are they willing to cross to achieve what they want to achieve?”

The Amazon Studios series stars Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara and Karl Urban, along with Erin Moriarty, Anthony Starr, Dominic McElligott, Jesse T. Asher, Chace Crawford and Nathan Mitchell. Claudia Dumit and Colby Minifee became regulars in Season 3 and were joined by supernatural Jensen Ackles as the infamous boy soldier and Katya Winter as Little Nina.

Also joining the third season is Miles Gaston Villanova (Law & Order True Crime) as Supersonic, Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints) as Gunpowder, Nick Wexler (Revenge) as Blue Hawk and Laurie Holden (the walking Dead) as the Crimson Countess.
