The series was about the titular Marvel villain MODOK, meaning «Mental Organism Built Only to Kill», as he manipulated his family life after losing his position as leader of the villainous group AIM (meaning «Advanced Idea Mechanics»).
A year ago, in May 2021, the show, directed by Patton Oswalt, aired its first 10-episode season. Along with Oswalt, famous actors such as Melissa Fumero and Ben Schwartz participated in the show. While technically a Marvel series, MODOK was never part of the MCU. This is partly due to the show being produced by Marvel Television, which has been replaced by Marvel Studios.
