HBO Max teases long-awaited comeback Khaki, starring Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder. For her performance in the first season, Smart won both an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress, while Einbinder was also nominated for an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress.
The series is set to return on Thursday, May 12 with the first two episodes followed by new episodes a week ending on June 2.
«The dark mentorship between legendary Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance and her young writer Ava continues to unfold as they travel the country rehearsing for Deborah’s new standup,» the synopsis reads.

Khaki headed by Hanna Einbinder and fraser alum Jean Smart. Returning cast members also include Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Jane Adams, Christopher McDonald, Caitlin Olson, Paul W. Downes, Poppy Liu, Rose Abdu, Mark Indelicato, Meg Stalter, Angela E. Gibbs, Luenell, Johnny Cibilli, Joe Mande, Ellie. Maki and Lorenz Izzo.
The second season will also feature new regular guest stars Laurie Metcalfe, Martha Kelly, Ming-Na Wen and Susie Essman, with Margaret Cho and Devon Sawa set to guest stars.

Khaki Created and produced by Paul W. Downes, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky, who also serve as showrunners. The executive producers are Emmy Award winner Michael Schur via Fremulon, David Miner of 3 Arts Entertainment, and Morgan Sackett.
