Netflix abandoned the first Resident Evil teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action horror drama that will be available for streaming on July 14th. The video gives us our first look at protagonists Billy and Jade Wesker, who are apparently the subjects of their father’s experiments for Umbrella. Corporation. It also teases the series’ alternating timelines as it gives us a preview of post-apocalyptic London.

Set in the year 2036, 14 years after a deadly virus triggered a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights to survive in a world overrun by bloodthirsty infected and insane creatures. «In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, her father’s frightening ties to the Umbrella Corporation, but mostly what happened to her sister Billy.»
live action Resident Evil series comes from supernatural executive producer Andrew Dabb, who serves as writer, executive producer and showrunner. The action will reportedly take place between two timelines featuring the same protagonist. These are the stars John Wick star Lance Reddick as Albert Wesker, the villainous head of the Umbrella Corporation.

Additional cast includes Ella Balinska (Charlie’s Angels), Adeline Rudolf (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Tamara Smart (Nanny’s Guide to Monster Hunting), Siena Agudong (Bad Nick) and Paola Nunez (Bad boys for life) along with Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti and Turlough Convery.
The eight-episode series is also written and executive produced by Mary Lee Sutton, with Constantin Film’s Robert Kulzer and Oliver Berben as executive producers. Constantin Film, the studio behind the blockbuster franchise, is the studio behind the project, whose CEO Martin Moszkowicz is also producing.
