Sam Raimi doesn’t do a lot of movies. Between his first farewell to Marvel (2007-2007) Spiderman 3) and his recent returnDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessHe made only two films. Although he had a hand in creating some other projects through his production companies, Raimi only made 15 feature films in his 40+ year career.
But most of Raimi’s 15 films range from good to outright classic, making them especially interesting to rank for. Although he is best known for his work in the horror and superhero genres, Raimi has also dabbled in sports films, crime films, and even Westerns. Not all of them are masterpieces, but this man has maintained an impressive level of quality in his four decades of being behind the camera – or sometimes next to the camera while it’s nailed to a wooden board, and running towards Bruce Campbell at top speed.
Below I have rated every Sam Raimi film up to and including. Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness. Which one is the best Spiderman? What Evil Dead reign supreme? The answers, at least in my opinion, may surprise you…
