EA Sports announced that they will part ways with the FIFA brand in 2023 to start a «new era» of football games.

Although the company promises that this year FIFA the title would be «the best ever», they also note that as of July 2023, EA Sports FC will be their football franchise in the future. The game will have over 300 license partners worldwide and will feature fan-favorite modes such as Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Pro Clubs and Volta Football.
