HBO Max has officially ordered an eight-episode series for TV adaptation dead boy detectives, based on the DC characters created by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner. Horror drama created by executive producer Jeremy Carver.Doom Patrol) and Steve Yockey (Stewardess).

dead boy detectives The story of two ghost children named Charles Rowland and Edwin Payne who refuse to enter the afterlife in order to stay on earth to investigate supernatural crimes. The characters first appeared in Gaiman’s novel. Sandman 1991 comic.
The series will be «a fresh take on a ghost story that explores loss, grief and death through the lens of Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland, two dead British teenagers and their very much alive friend, Crystal Palace,» the logline says. «So, it’s very much like the old detective series – only darker and more acidic.»
Leading horror dramas as the titular duo are George Wrextrew and Jayden Revry, along with Cassius Nelson as The Crystal Palace. The additional cast includes Briana Cuoco as Jenny the Butcher, Ruth Connell as the Night Nurse, Yuya Kitamura as Nico, and Jenn Lyon as Esther.

dead boy detectives The series is written by Yoki, who is also the showrunner. Executive Producers: Carver, Yoki, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Lee Toland Krieger and David Madden. It is produced by Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. television.
