Dave Bautista Says Goodbye to Drax After Guardians of the Galaxy 3

Actor Dave Bautista does not hide the fact that the last time he played Drax in guardians of the galaxy The franchise will be in the upcoming third entry in the film series. Following the completion of the film, Batista took to social media to share a special message for the character.

In an Instagram post earlier this week, Batista shared the same photo as director James Gunn, from the majority guardians cast together after film wrapping. In his post, Batista said that he has yet to find the words to express himself after wrapping up filming and having to head to another set immediately.

However, Bautista noted that it was «the end of the road» that changed his life before saying goodbye to the character via hashtags.

“I haven’t found the words yet,” Batista wrote in the post. “It all ended so abruptly and I started on the next film before I had a chance to think it all through. The end of a journey that changed my life.»

While fans may not be ready to see Drax one last time, Batista made it clear he was done playing the character when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 premiere next year. In a tweet last year, Batista said that while the Drax character may not be going anywhere, Batista simply won’t play him anymore due to his age.

«Drax isn’t going anywhere,» Batista tweeted. “He just won’t be played by this dude! By that time [Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3] it turns out I will be 54 years old for God’s sake! Face screaming in fear, I expect everything to start to sag any second.»

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 again written and directed by Gunn.
