Screen Media Films released the official Monstrous trailer for the upcoming horror thriller starring Christina Ricci. The film is due in theaters and on VOD on May 13th.
The video begins with a single mother moving into a new home with her young son to start a new life away from the trauma she suffered from her abusive husband. She is unaware that she has to face a new monster in her life as she and her son are terrorized by a terrifying creature from the lake.

«A spooky new horror awaits Laura and her seven-year-old son Cody as they flee their abusive ex-husband and attempt to start a new life in an idyllic, remote lakeside farmhouse,» reads the synopsis. «Still traumatized, their physical and mental well-being is pushed to the limit as their fragile existence is threatened.»

Monstrous Sasha Yeloun, B.I. Rosen, Johnny Remo and Robert Yokum are producing, with Adam Goldworth serving as executive producer.
