In a recent interview with National Post, Cumberbatch was asked if he could envision himself as Doctor Strange in the next decade. Cumberbatch said that as long as he continues to get more interesting, he is «absolutely» ready to step into the role.
«Yeah! Absolutely. Absolutely,» Cumberbatch said. «If they keep me, which is interesting, and get him to develop and try to reach his full potential as a character, I think he has a lot of places he can explore. So yeah, let’s go.»
Although Cumberbatch has admitted that he plans to «take a break» now that his turn as Doctor Strange is over for now, it looks like the future of the franchise is bright.
