Sony has officially given the green light Ghostbusters: Afterlife continuation.
No official details yet Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel announced during CinemaCon. It is currently unknown if director Jason Reitman will return, although it is likely. Of course, this shouldn’t come as a complete surprise, as Reitman has previously claimed that his 2021 soft reboot is «setting the table» for future films in the series, and he’ll be able to do so now.

AT Ghostbusters: Afterlife, hoping to start a new life, a single mother and her two children come to a small town to move into a rundown Oklahoma farmhouse they inherited from their grandfather. However, they soon discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy left behind by their grandfather.
The film was hosted by Carrie Coon as Callie, McKenna Grace as Phoebe, Finn Wolfhard as Trevor and Paul Rudd as Mr. Gruberson. Joining them was original Ghostbusters stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts, who reprized their iconic roles as Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddemore, Dana Barrett and Janine Melnitz, respectively.
