During CinemaCon, Sony Pictures released the first 15 minutes Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and revealed a new title for its sequel, formerly known as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse – Part 2.
New name for Part II now Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. The news comes after both films were shelved. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will now release on June 2, 2023, eight months behind the original release date of October 2022. Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will now release on March 29, 2024. This means that years of animated Spiderman releases.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse We’ll see Issa Rae’s Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman join Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld in the animated comic sequel, who will reprise their roles as Miles Morales/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen, respectively. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it will reportedly feature several spider-powered characters «through Marvel Comics time and space.»
In April, it was announced that Joaquim dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson would be the film’s directorial trio. Lord, Miller, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Christina Steinberg return to produce a Sony Pictures project with co-producer Alonso Ruvalcaba. Original spider verse Director Peter Ramsey will executive produce alongside Aditya Sood.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduced teenage Miles Morales, who becomes Spider-Man in his own universe and must team up with five other-dimensional spider-humans to stop a threat to all realities. The film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film of 2019 and grossed $375.5 million worldwide.
